Meet SEJ member Anzula Jafarova! Anzula is a journalist, editor and lecturer specializing in international data journalism. She is the director and chief editor of 24media.az, the first platform in Azerbaijan where students from different universities collaborate to produce news content. With over a decade of experience at Baku State University, Anzula teaches journalism fundamentals, focusing on news reporting, editing and data-driven storytelling. As a SUSI scholar at Arizona State University (2024), she explored media literacy, ethical journalism and data journalism. Passionate about delivering insightful stories, Anzula is committed to presenting engaging interviews, compelling global news and investigative reports backed by data, while mentoring the next generation of journalists.
