"The League of Conservation Voters is dedicating $2 million to a new effort to boost the importance of climate change policies in the 2020 presidential campaign.
The program, dubbed Change the Climate 2020, is focusing on public relations and direct interactions with presidential campaigns in an effort to get candidates to talk more about climate and for voters to prioritize the issue.
'LCV is making a major investment in helping to create a race to the top on climate change in the primary because the 2020 election is our last, best chance to address this crisis once and for all,' Tiernan Sittenfeld, LCV's senior vice president of government affairs, said in a statement today."
