Protestors To 'Occupy Koch Brothers' in DC Today as Cain Speaks

As GOP presidential hopefuls Mitt Romney and Hermain Cain speak to the Koch-backed Americans for Prosperity Foundation Friday, hundreds of protesters plan to rally against the billionaire brothers who bankroll anti-environmental causes. The Koch-Cain connection is the nexus of an evolving political scandal over alleged improper management of campaign funds by Cain's smoking campaign manager, Mark Block.

"This weekend, I’ll be in Washington, D.C. listening to 2012 hopefuls Mitt Romney, Herman Cain, and other leading lights of conservatism discuss ways to cut government spending and promote free enterprise at a summit hosted by the Americans for Prosperity Foundation.

Outside the DC Convention Center, hundreds of protesters plan to convene starting at 6pm Friday, not in opposition to the event itself, but its billionaire backers: the Koch brothers, America’s richest industrialists and longtime bankrollers of the Republican party."
