IJNR Workshop: Fire on the Land [1]

This Institute for Journalism and Natural Resources workshop in Missoula, MT, will connect journalist attendees with experts regarding the ecological, economic, social and public health impacts of wildfire. The Emerald Corridor — Impacts, Fixes and Rethinking Everything [52]

As the Pacific Northwest faces serious impacts from climate change, and moves to respond, the Society of Environmental Journalists provides a special in-depth report on how journalists can tell the unfolding story. “Covering Your Climate: The Emerald Corridor” launches Feb. 11 with an extensive issue backgrounder, which will be followed by tipsheets and a toolbox over the next few weeks. We hope this is the first in a series of regional climate special reports, and we welcome your suggestions [21] and ideas for future editions of "Covering Your Climate."

DEADLINE: Knight Foundation Grants for Sustainable Publishing Solutions [59]

The Knight Foundation has launched a three-year, $2 million initiative to help underserved news organizations access more sustainable publishing solutions. In its first year, the program offers a one-time subsidy grant of $20,000 to 25 publishers that can be applied to the adoption or management of a Content Management System (CMS) of their choice.
