Judge Backs Chevron's Grab for Documentary Out-takes in Ecuador Case [8]

A federal district judge in New York ordered film-maker Joe Berlinger to turn over more than 600 hours of raw footage from his documentary "Crude," about a lawsuit by natives in Ecuador charging Chevron with polluting the Amazon rainforest there.

"Helena Chemical Wins Defamation Suit Against New Mexico Activist" [27]

A Tennessee-based chemical company, cited and fined by New Mexico authorities for environmental violations there, won $75,000 in punitive damages in its SLAPP suit against a community activist for what it claimed were defamatory public presentations.
