After Denials, White House Caves on Censored Gerberding Climate-Health Testimony

It was news when the White House censored testimony prepared in October 2007 by Centers for Disease Control Director Julie Gerberding - testimony detailing the health hazards likely to result from climate change.

White House spokesperson Dana Perino denied that any censorship had taken place even though the Associated Press and others had the text of the testimony the White House had suppressed.

Now the suppressed testimony has actually been delivered by a CDC official to Congress.

Howard Frumkin, director of the National Center for Environmental Health, delivered substantially similar information in April 9, 2008, testimony to the House Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming. Story and text can be found on the watchdog site ClimateScienceWatch.
