"Lead May Be Leaching Into Thousands of D.C. Homes" [1]

"The water in almost 15,000 D.C. homes that received repairs during a massive effort to remove lead pipes may still be contaminated by dangerous levels of the metal, according to a report released Wednesday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention."

EPA Releases Reports on Toxics at Selected Schools [25]

Following a December 2008 USA Today report on outdoor air pollution at hundreds of schools, EPA began a monitoring process. Final reports for 21 (of the small number of schools selected) have now been released; the results are mixed.

Feds Launch Probe for Toxics in Novelty Drinking Glasses [31]
