The Institute for Journalism & Natural Resources will provide grants up to $15,000 USD for reporting projects on Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas (IPCAs) in Canada, with a particular focus on marine areas. The David and Helen Gurley Brown Institute for Media Innovation annually provides year-long funding awards of up to $150,000 ($300,000 for teams with members of both the Columbia and Stanford communities). The Knight Foundation has launched a three-year, $2 million initiative to help underserved news organizations access more sustainable publishing solutions. In its first year, the program offers a one-time subsidy grant of $20,000 to 25 publishers that can be applied to the adoption or management of a Content Management System (CMS) of their choice.
