"Scientists have found evidence of a 'drastic' shift since the 1970s in north Atlantic Ocean currents that usually influence weather in the northern hemisphere, Swiss researchers said on Tuesday."

New Push To Strengthen Mine Safety Faces Resistance by Old Strategies [7]

The Obama administration's efforts to toughen mine safety enforcement, following the Upper Big Branch disaster in April that killed 29, are encountering the same old evade-and-delay resistance from the mining industry. Those are the tactics that appear to have led to the disaster in the first place.

Judy Bonds, 'Godmother of Anti-Mountaintop Removal Movement' Mourned [29]
