DEADLINE: Ecotrust's Rural Reporting Fellowship

Event Date:
December 15, 2019

Ecotrust's yearlong Rural Reporting Fellowship is for a journalist living in and reporting on a rural community in Northern California, Oregon, Washington or Alaska. By providing economic support, the Rural Reporting Fellowship enables journalists who live in rural communities to tell stories that are truly of those communities and partner with the news outlet or outlets that can ensure this perspective is amplified. $25,000 stipend plus expenses. Journalists who identify as Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC) and have connections to members of marginalized communities are strongly encouraged to apply by the Dec 15, 2019 deadline.

The fellowship comes with “no strings attached” to the editorial content of the fellow’s storytelling.
