Extreme Heat Events Worse in Sprawling Cities [1]

A study was published in Environmental Health Perspectives found that the most sprawling US cities have 2.6 times the risk of deadly extreme heat events than those with the least sprawl — regardless of the population, location, or rate of growth of an urban area.

US Police Ignore Death Threats Against Exonerated Climate Scientists [11]

"Activists Beg Obama to Step Up Climate Push" [15]

"A coalition of environmental organizations sent President Obama a letter on Friday pleading for him to intervene in the stalled Senate negotiations on climate and energy legislation. The groups, which have been largely supportive of the president’s energy policies, expressed concern that time was running out for any action on climate change this year.
