ELI Annual Award Dinner

ELI (the Environmental Law Institute) will present the 2013 Environmental Achievement Award to former US Secretary of State George P. Shultz and "green" philanthropist Thomas F. Steyer to recognize their outstanding leadership to reduce climate change and advance clean energy. The Award will be presented to Shultz and Steyer at ELI’s annual dinner on Tuesday evening, October 22 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The Kurt Schork Memorial Fund and Reuters annually award two $5,000 prizes, one to a local reporter in a developing country or nation in transition, and the other to a freelance journalist covering international news, to recognize independent and professional reporting that sheds new light on controversial issues. Apply by May 31, 2016.

The Bodie McDowell scholarship program is open to undergraduate and graduate-level college students pursuing a degree in an outdoor communications field. Awards range from $1,000 to $5,000.
