Supreme Court Review & Preview [1]

The Environmental Law Institute's annual U.S. Supreme Court update for the 2014 term will feature ELI President John Cruden leading a discussion (in Washington, DC and via teleconference) with two of the most distinguished environmental law school professors in the nation to review the important Clean Air Act cases decided this year, and forecast their implications for future rule making, particularly in the greenhouse gas arena. Greens See Judge's Rejection of Colo. Lease as Turning Point on Climate [6]

White House Nears Decision Shielding Frack Chem Disclosure [22]

West Virginia: "DEP Plans To Tailor Chemical Tank Inspections" [32]

"Charges Dropped Against Climate Activists" [36]

A Massachusetts prosecutor dropped charges against two protestors who claimed global warming was so dire they had no choice but to block a coal shipment. The prosecutor made the announcement clutching an article by Bill McKibben, which he said convinced him that “Climate change is one of the gravest crises our planet has ever faced.”
