Pakistani journalists visit Washington, D.C., New York City and Columbia, Missouri. U.S. journalists visit Islamabad and Karachi, Pakistan.

Based at USC's Annenberg School of Journalism, The California Endowment Health Journalism Fellowship is open to print, broadcast, and online journalists from California, or those based elsewhere who contribute to California media outlets. The International Reporting Project is accepting applications until June 14th from U.S. journalists for a media reporting trip to Kazakhstan, a huge but little-known Asian country whose government has been active in global nuclear nonproliferation talks. The trip, August 3-14, 2013, is a unique opportunity to visit a key country of 17 million persons bordering Russia and China.

DEADLINE: The Asian Carp Institute for Journalism & Natural Resources

Journalists chosen for the September 21-24, 2011, program fellowships will travel in vessels from the electronic barrier all the way to the mouth of the Chicago River to explore and examine the historical, scientific, economic, legal and political dimensions of the Asian carp issue. Apply by August 19th.
