The Society of Professional Journalists' New America Award honors public service journalism that explores and exposes issues of importance to immigrant or ethnic communities in the United States. Although not required, collaboration with ethnic media is taken into account. Deadline is Mar 11, 2025.

This program will provide up to eight photographers with a $7,000 grant to work on their projects in their Arab country of residence over a period of 10 months. The grant may be used to begin a new project or to complete work on an existing project. Apply by Jun 13, 2025.

Investigative Reporters and Editors' annual investigative journalism conference, June 19-22, 2025 in New Orleans, will provide professional development opportunities in investigative and data journalism, including sessions on the most tried and tested investigative skills, story ideas and growing your network.

NAHJ 2025 will take place in Chicago, Illinois, offering career development opportunities with leading Hispanic journalists and media professionals, and featuring workshops and panels that provide essential tools for career growth in a rapidly evolving industry.

This biennial conference will be held next in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Nov 20-24, 2025, with fellowships available to both established and promising journalists in developing and transitioning countries, and for journalists from disenfranchised communities, to participate in-person.
