"A federal judge ruled Friday against the Trump administration’s freeze on a $5 billion program that seeks to fund the build-out of electric vehicle (EV) chargers.
Judge Tana Lin, a former President Biden appointee, barred the Department of Transportation from revoking previously approved state EV charger deployment plans and from withholding funds for the plans.
In February 2025, the Trump administration sent a letter revoking the state plans. It also froze the funds for the program, which was passed under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
Twenty states and Washington, D.C., sued over the move."
