"Honduras: Environmentalist Berta Caceres Shot Dead" [8]

"Honduran environmentalist leader and winner of the 2015 Goldman Environmental Prize Berta Caceres has been shot dead at her home in the town of La Esperanza. Caceres was killed early on Thursday by two assailants who broke into her home, a member of her group, the Indian Council of People's Organizations of Honduras, said."

House OKs Lands Bill with Photo Fees, Permits — Now It's Up to Senate [42]

The Senate Energy Committee last November approved a different version of the bill which seems to include an exemption from fees and permits for "news gathering." But whether it will pass on the floor or get reconciled with the House bill in an election year is unknown.
