The Knight Center for Environmental Journalism at Michigan State University will host a free one-day workshop on Saturday, April 1, for journalists about reporting on river issues such as pollution, wetlands, habitat restoration, water recreation, shoreline development and dam removal. The Columbia University Center on Global Energy Policy's 2025 program takes place in NYC, Jun 10-13. This National Press Foundation  expenses-paid fellowship, May 14-17, 2017, will take U.S.-based journalists to Des Moines, Iowa to learn about food labeling, growing methods, GMOs, pesticide and herbicide use, agriculture research, antibiotics, organics, sustainability and government policy. NTBG's five-day program in Hawaii provides specialized working journalists much-needed information about tropical ecosystems, providing deep background in tropical ecology to enhance the accuracy of reporting on science and environmental issues. Apply by Feb 24 for the May 11-17, 2025 program.
