The Fund for Investigative Journalism (FIJ) and the Schuster Institute for Investigative Journalism at Brandeis University will award fellowships and grants up to $9,000 for independent investigative reporting by women and journalists of color. Apply by Oct 1.

From Oct 2-8, 2016, IJNR will lead a select group of journalists on a field trip exploring everything from gas and oil pipelines and trains carrying crude through the Great Lakes region, to a potential new shale gas play in Michigan and Wisconsin’s largest solar array. Apply by Aug 29.
