Terri Hansen, a member of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska and correspondent for This Week from Indian Country, has been reporting on environmental issues since 1992. Her focus areas are the impacts of toxics on human health, environmental justice in the Native American community, and Indigenous Peoples worldwide.

Brandon Loomis, The Salt Lake Tribune public lands reporter, has just won the 2012 Grantham Prize for Excellence in Reporting on the Environment for "Our Dying Forests." Brandon and his colleagues will receive the US$75,000 award for this "measured and exhaustive series about the causes of the decline of ancient conifer forests stretching from New Mexico northward to the Canadian border."
Jacob Park, associate professor of Business Strategy and Sustainability at Green Mountain College in Vermont, researches the complex relationship between business and global environmental issues. He writes for the "Sustainable Planet" column of OurWorld 2.0, published by the UN University in Tokyo. Jacob welcomes questions and comments from the SEJ community on his multi-year project exploring social and environmental innovation and entrepreneurship in emerging economies.
McKay Jenkins has been writing about people and the natural world for 25 years. He is the director of journalism at the University of Delaware, and the author of numerous books, including What’s Gotten into Us: Staying Healthy in a Toxic World, which chronicles his investigation into the myriad synthetic chemicals we encounter in our daily lives, and the growing body of evidence about the harm these chemicals do to our bodies and the environment.
Houston-based freelance writer and photographer Wendee Holtcamp has covered conservation, adventure travel, environmental issues and science for magazines and websites since 1997. She offers an online writing class, teaching aspiring and established writers everything from improving one's writing through observation journaling to crafting killer queries to the business end of building a successful and lucrative freelance career. Next class starts June 2.
Freelance writer William Souder has reported on a wide variety of environmental subjects and is the author of three books, including the forthcoming On a Farther Shore: The Life and Legacy of Rachel Carson, marking the 50th anniversary of Carson's Silent Spring — and, by extension, a half century of environmentalism.
