"World’s Big Polluters Talk Up Net-Zero With Little to Show" [1]

"When it comes to net-zero, a lot of companies are more talk than action. That’s the conclusion of a new report from Climate Action 100+, an investor alliance with combined assets of more than $68 trillion, which shows that promises by major corporate emitters to achieve net-zero targets are “not matched by the development and implementation of credible decarbonization strategies.”"

2022 David Stolberg Meritorious Service Award Winner: JoAnn Valenti [22]

The David Stolberg Meritorious Service Award annually recognizes an SEJ member for their exceptional volunteer work. The 2022 Stolberg award goes to JoAnn Valenti, who joined SEJ in October 1990. Her volunteer work for SEJ has been primarily behind-the-scenes work that quietly spread SEJ's name over several continents. She was a judge for SEJ's Rachel Carson Environment Book category for 14 years and also served on the editorial board and wrote for SEJournal.
