"Chemours' GenX Pollution Worries Spread To West Virginia" [1]

"A Teflon chemical that last year contaminated a North Carolina river that provides drinking water to a region of more than 200,000 people also has been detected at a well under a Chemours facility in West Virginia, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency."

"The EPA Killed This Newspaper’s Funding. Was It Something They Said?" [9]

"The Bay Journal, a monthly paper covering the Chesapeake Bay, isn’t the New York Times or CNN, and has so far avoided mention in the president’s Twitter feed. "Leaky Sewers May Foster Antibiotic Resistance In Urban Streams" [38]

"Microbial activity in a Baltimore stream is unaffected by exposure to the antibiotic ciprofloxacin, evidence that sewage contamination of urban waterways may be fomenting pockets of antibiotic resistance, researchers reported last week in the journal Ecosphere."

2018 Journalists’ Guide to Energy & Environment [50]

From pipeline politics to hurricane horrors, 2017 witnessed a flood of energy and environment news — and 2018 promises to set a new high-water mark. On Friday, January 26 at the Wilson Center in Washington, DC, the Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ) will launch its annual report, "The Journalists' Guide to Energy and Environment,” which previews the top stories of 2018, with comments from a roundtable of leading journalists. The event takes place 3:00-5:00 p.m., with a reception to follow.
