"As Walrus Arrive, Alaska Village Tells Visitors To Stay Away" [5]

"A remote village on Alaska's northwest coast has begun a reverse tourism campaign. Residents want visitors to stay away. Pacific walrus by the thousands in recent years have come ashore in early fall near the Inupiat village of Point Lay, including about 6,000 last week, and people have dropped in, hoping to see a marine mammal phenomenon brought on by climate change and disappearing summer sea ice in the Chukchi Sea."

Cleveland Water Company Says 45 Percent of Service Pipes Contain Lead [42]

"CLEVELAND, Ohio – Almost 45 percent of the service pipes Cleveland Water is responsible for, the ones that carry drinking, cooking and bathing water to customers across Northeast Ohio are likely to contain lead.

But what does that mean?

Concern about the toxin has been on the rise across the the country, though its danger to young children and pregnant women have long been known."
