The Movie 'Pressure' Highlights Drama Of High-Stakes Weather Forecasts [14]

"Meteorologists are rarely the heroes of major Hollywood movies. Never say never. The new film Pressure is a lightly fictionalized version of the actual lead-up to the D-Day invasion of France by Allied troops during World War II, and the crucial role of meteorologists in deciding when that battle would happen."

DOD Bans Journalists From Press Office, Designating It A Classified Space [25]

"The Defense Department has designated its press office a classified space and banned journalists from accessing it to meet with the public affairs officers who have traditionally answered their questions." "The change creates a new barrier compared with previous administrations, under which the office was an open room where reporters could stop by the desks of military public affairs officials without escorts."
